how do e know for sure??????????????????

Ananais and Sapphira were, I guess, the first known church deceivers. Along comes Simon the sorcerer who attempts to be a televangelist and "buy" the Holy Spirit and I suppose it all starts there.
But where does the madness end and the real walk with God begin?
Indeed the "laying on of hands(acts8:17)" is biblical and we know that the Peter and John asked specifically if they(new believers) had received the Holy Spirit.
So then the believers ACCEPTED the word of God but had not RECEIVED the Holy Spirit.
The bible said: "the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them;they had SIMPLY BEEN BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
many believers receive the Holy Spirit without the laying on of hands.
Is this biblical? Yes I believe so, God can do what He wants and how He chooses.
In this portion of Acts 8 we are not told how the disciples knew the believers received the Holy Spirit once they laid hands on them. Did they become tongue speakers, fall down, or become full of joy and praise?
However we do know that Peter and John"placed their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit"
So today my question would be, why is it we do not do this "laying on of hands" in many of our churches today?
If it were just meant for that time I would ask,"is Jesus Christ not the same yesterday and today and tomorrow? Did the disciples do this just for a few months then stopped? Were the people then only privileged enough to have hands laid on them?
So then why take communion? Maybe it was meant only for the disciples?
Why have church altogether?Maybe it was just meant for the disciples and early believers.
I need some answers God because I do not see a lot of laying on of hands here except n the charismatic churches and sometimes they get a bit much overboard with the speaking in tongues thing which is a totally another issue for me.
Like is that not our "heavenly language"?And do we not need to interpret it in an orderly way in church?
?????????????????????????????????
A lot of the charismatic stuff overwhelms me at times. We are emotional beings and I wonder how much is theatrical, emotional or real worship?
Lately I am preferring to worship simply at home with hubby or friends until I resolve all these things.
i wanna be real before God and know Him and not man.

how God made me

wonder if two plus two always makes four to God?
or if red always looks red
He is the best thinker outside the box of boxes
so why can't he think anything?
yet when he made me he sure went way outside the big box
guess he even went outside the box the box came in
am sure He colored outside the lines
cut and pasted me on a buncha dotted lines\and here am i
\stubborn and temperamental
attitude with bonus
whatever was He thinking

stephen is stoned

Stephen was stoned to death
but right before he saw Jesus
and the people thought he looked like an angel
so why would they stone an angel?
please don't say oh there are dark angels
because the people were not afraid of his countenance
nor was he just"an angel of light
but there was something obviously godly in his countenance
he stood for his faith for his Jesus
and never had a chance to see how glorious a thing would happen to the one approving of his stoning
saul was in the crowd
and the witnesses clothes were thrown at his feet
which i am sure meant something important
guess paul never forgot this moment
but am sure he is great pals with stephen now

MERCY AND LOVINGKINDNESS
In psalm 107 I noticed the word mercy used in a very different way than I expected.
There was this sentence that said "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His mercy endures forever."
I heard this in songs before but had always known it as His love endures forever.
So then I began to imagine how close love and mercy really are, after all.
The love of God is smack in His mercy and we get it like a dose of happy ever medicine, all because of His love.
In your love remember me, the psalmist says(psalm 25) as He asks God not to remember his sins but to show him God's favor.
love and mercy,mercy andlove
how close the words do meet
with fragrance sweet as morning dew
they kiss God's hands and feet
from outstretched hands to our own hearts
he places always there
a taste of glory with His love
forever in His care.

SOLOMON WAS A SOCIAL NETWORKER

I LIKE SOLOMON!!!!!
He may have ended up a bit whacko but his thoughts are so akin to my own rantings lately.
How many people on social network sites are kvetching about how short life is, how we need to love our friends, stamp out cancer, hate and so on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Solomon has something to say about all the toil and stress and yanging too...
All vanity!!!!
like air bubbles all these rants and raves just come out , then, perhaps a flutter of activity for a bit and back to the same ball game..
and, like all ball games we come out winner or loser but it is always either that and nothing else
win or lose
all is vanity,so Solly says
in the end he decides, and me too, that we should just enjoy the life God gave us, to make ,each moment count
so too the many blogs on facebook say
enjoy, eat, drink, be good
Solomon was WAY ahead of his time
but his blogs was dedicated to the end result that God made ALL things beautiful in His time
that God has planted eternity in our hearts
and much dreaming and many words are meaningless
stand in awe of God!!!!
